My Story
How I Got Started
I started out by selling popsicles in my neighbourhood and selling second-hand items in the classifieds when I was 10 years old. I realised at a young age how business works and continued honing my skills as a waiter throughout my school career.
Once social media started to gain popularity, it dawned on me that we were moving away from a traditional advertising model to a more unique self-publishing model. There was a gap in the market, so I got stuck into the details and started committing 100 percent into digital.
Things started to gain momentum and before I knew it, I had successfully grown Cape Town is Awesome to 100 000 followers organically within 12 months from launch. The success of Cape Town is Awesome, as well as working with local celebrities and brands, has continued to grow from year to year.
